The revitalization of the Amphitheatre Gardens is reaching its final stages, bringing a fresh and polished look to one of the town’s key community spaces. In a significant move to honor local history, we have worked closely with the Royal British Legion to relocate the VJ Day Memorial Stone to a more prominent and respectful position within the grounds.

To further elevate the area, the shelter and surrounding walkways have undergone a deep steam clean, and festive bunting has already been installed to brighten the space. The transformation will continue over the next few weeks as we prepare to replace the existing banners. While a few finishing touches remain, the area is already looking fantastic and stands as a testament to our ongoing commitment to a cleaner, more welcoming town centre.
