Cruise visitors were welcomed to the island on Thursday 21st May as the luxury cruise ship Le Lyrial arrived in the bay at 9:30am before departing later that evening at 7:00pm. Tenders began bringing passengers ashore from 10:00am, where they received a warm island welcome from the wonderful Apple Tree Singers.

The visit brought a great atmosphere to the area, with organised excursions taking guests to Mount Stuart, including gin tasting experiences and Scottish platters at Bute Yard.

Many visitors also took the opportunity to explore the town, enjoy a wander around local shops and cafés, and experience some of the island’s hospitality during their stay. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying what the island has to offer.
